Town & Country Surf Designs
Craig Sugihara’s T&C, the yin-yang logo label of the 70s and 80s, with several Oahu shops.
Honolulu · Est. 1971
The story
T&C Surf Designs was founded in Honolulu in 1971 by Craig Sugihara, and its yin-yang logo became one of the defining surf labels of the 1970s and ’80s, worn far beyond Hawaii.
More than 50 years later T&C is still a Hawaii company with several Oahu surf shops, its own board program with local shapers such as Glenn Pang, and a long-running team of Hawaiian surfers, skaters and bodyboarders.
It also runs the T&C Grom Contest for young Oahu surfers, so the shop’s ‘Stoke & Aloha’ tagline comes with real roots in the local scene.
