Zigzag has shared SunSong, Mikey February’s new film made with a crew of creative surfers in Fiji. Set against Cloudbreak and the islands beyond, it explores how surfing connects with music, art and the places that inspire us, and it celebrates instinct, individuality and finding your own rhythm in the ocean.

At the heart of it is 17-year-old Fijian surfer James Kusitino, whose original approach to surfing helped inspire the project. He’s joined by Mikey February, Frankie Harrer, Kobe Hughes, Lungi Slabb and Tosh Tudor, and the soundtrack ties South African legends Hugh Masekela and Letta Mbulu to the rhythms of Fiji.

Sam Smith directed and edited the film, Wade Carroll, Dave Fox and Ian Thurtell shot it, and Zigzag credits Damien Fahrenfort as producer. The full film is free to watch on Sun Bum’s YouTube channel.
